Brighten is the third solo album by Alice in Chains guitarist and vocalist Jerry Cantrell. It was released on October 29, 2021, and it is Cantrell's first independent album. The first single, "Atone", was released on July 29, 2021. The second single, "Brighten", was released on September 10, 2021. The last track is a cover of Elton John's "Goodbye", which John himself approved. Cantrell described Brighten as "a journey up through darkness to light".
